Further details about the role
Due to a forthcoming maternity leave, we are seeking a well-qualified Teacher of Psychology to teach the subject at A Level at this highly successful school in the picturesque riverside market town of Evesham. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to teach full-time, but part-time may be available within a range of 0.6 to 1.0 of full-time equivalent.
This post is suitable for recently qualified or experienced teachers and will provide an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to teach one of our most popular A Level subjects to students, as well as the option to be involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
Prince Henry’s is a popular and over-subscribed 13-18 High School with approximately 1,300 on roll including more than 330 in one of Worcestershire’s largest Sixth Forms. The school enjoys an excellent reputation locally, and consistently been judged outstanding by Ofsted, most recently in March 2024, when it was judged to be outstanding in all areas, including our Sixth Form.
The successful candidate will be committed to the highest standards of academic achievement and behaviour and will genuinely enjoy working with teenagers of all abilities. They will have a clear understanding of how to achieve and maintain high standards and will already have a record as an excellent classroom teacher or, for applicants still in training, the potential to become outstanding.
Having been a Teaching School since 2014, Prince Henry’s became a Teaching School Hub in September 2021, with Hub status being re-accredited for a further four years in 2024. Supporting and developing the careers of all our teachers, from Initial Teacher Training through to Senior Leadership progression sits at the heart of our ethos in relation to colleagues working at Prince Henry’s.
Potential applicants are welcome to telephone Tanisa Lancaster, Head of Psychology to discuss this post or to arrange to visit the school if they wish.
Please note that applicants must have the right to work in the UK and we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for international applicants.

The school will also conduct an online search on all shortlisted candidates which may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which the school might want to explore with you at interview.
