Join a dynamic and welcoming primary school located in a peaceful area in western Sheffield as a KS1 Teacher Primary ECT, and receive the guidance and support needed to develop into a star teacher!
You’ll work alongside an existing KS1 Teacher who will take on a mentor or ‘partner teacher’ role to support you throughout your first year as you deliver KS1 national curriculum.
This content will focus on establishing the difference between work and play - utilising discovery, exploration and play to introduce concepts crucial to early development.
The transition between EYFS and KS1 is viewed as a point of particular focus at this school, with many strategies in place to support this – with the viewpoint that a strong foundation for learning at this stage will propel students into future success.
This school has a contingent of students with English as an Additional Language, and your approach as a KS1 Teacher Primary ECT will be tailored to support these students with their language needs.
