Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to clients in their homes or into the community. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those in their care.
Responsibilities
Support individuals safely access the community
Encourage people to participate in activities they enjoy
Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
Teach how to budget, shop, and use public transportation
Help with health care needs, such as taking medication and attending appointments
Help people meet friends and stay in touch with loved ones
Encourage people to participate in activities they enjoy
Help people who have communication difficulties
Keep accurate and up-to-date records
Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in support work, home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to drive is advantageous.
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care plans and documentation is beneficial.
A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality client support.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
