An excellent opportunity to join us at Allied care in one of our registered nursing homes with (20) beds in (Plymouth/Devon). We are seeking UK NMC Registered Nurses to join our team working at our 20 bedded care home with nursing. Experience in working with adults 18-65 with learning disabilities and health conditions would be an advantage.

Responsibilities and Duties
Our nurses support adults with nursing needs, learning disabilities, and mental ill-health conditions in a nursing home environment and work on a 12-hour shift pattern, mostly night shifts but you may be asked to cover some days. Including supporting with nursing needs, daily living skill development, personal care, and working with some behaviors which may present as challenging. Full induction, mandatory training, and regular support and supervision are provided to include Clinical supervision.
You will be expected to support the Home Manager and assistant manager with all aspects of nursing care from the assessment of need, designing support plans, and delivery of care.

Since vulnerable people need care all the time, we do ask that you work weekends but not all, this ensures our service users always have the support required. The role of the general maintenance operative is to ensure that the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. As our Maintenance operative, you’ll be a valuable member of our staff, promoting the well-being of our service users and the successful running of our care home.

This role covers our services in Plymouth, South West England.

The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience in a social care and health care setting, and have good literacy and numeracy skills. A qualification in one aspect of maintenance (e.g., plumbing), would be preferred, but not essential as full training given. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of all aspects of household maintenance, and be able to identify when an outside contractor is required and advise accordingly.

This is a full-time contract Monday – Friday with some element of emergency on-call expected to include paid call-outs if necessary.

You will be working jointly with the Home Managers to ensure that our homes are maintained to the highest of standards. Your responsibilities will include -

Liaise with home manager to prioritise and complete maintenance tasks.
General care home maintenance (moving of furniture, mowing/weeding, clearing drains and soil pipes, painting and decorating, and hanging pictures. Mending leaks. Changing taps. Includes ladder work.
Ensure all ventilation units and lights are kept clean. Replace any defective light bulbs/diffusers
Liaise with Home Manager or delegated Staff Member regarding maintenance work to be carried out
Ensure all equipment used by the maintenance operative is clean and well maintained
Checking control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Install appliances and equipment
Check functionality of safety systems
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems

Through sharing wisdom from their own experiences, Peer Support Workers will inspire hope and belief in recovery and supporting others to gain a sense of control over their lives. As a highly valued member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Peer Support Worker will provide peer support and practice assistance to service users in order for them to regain control over their lives and build connections with their local communities. Based with the Perinatal Team the Peer Support Worker will work across the Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health Service pathway, and third sector partner agencies, supporting service users transition between services. Job summary: The purpose of the role is to: Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated health, social and voluntary agencies Duties and responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practice administration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the reception manager/practice manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels: Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail Taking messages and passing on information Filing and retrieving paperwork Logging in new notes received Pulling notes and deducting patients and forwarding to Health Authority Summarising of new notes received within the appropriate timescale Advise patients of relevant charges for private services, accept payment and issue receipts for same Have working knowledge of telephone/fax system Registering of new patients, collating information that may be required prior to notes arriving Directing complaints in the appropriate manner Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members and associated healthcare agencies and providers Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, photocopying and scanning Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter Any other tasks allocated by managers/partners General Duties Work effectively, participate in and contribute positively to the reception and the wider Primary Health Care Team ensuring good communication about all aspects of the practice All members of the Primary Health Care Team are required to attend and contribute to meetings / away days and ongoing training requirements. Responsible for identifying need and updating qualifications according to current professional guidelines. Keep abreast of current trends and developments in professional matters.
