Field Service Engineer (Fitter / Installer)
Field-based role throughout the UK (travel required)
- £23,000 - £26,000 Salary + Benefits + annual bonus dependent on experience
- Day shifts Monday - Friday with occasional evening, weekend and overnight work required

The Role
They are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team – although technology focussed, the role would be suitable for someone with prior experience in shop fitting or general labouring with full training provided. In this role, you will be responsible for travelling throughout the UK to install enclosures and networking/Wi-Fi equipment for our clients. Additionally, there will be opportunities to carry out IT equipment replacements, decommissioning, and deploying equipment to meet customer requirements. This role is physically demanding and will involve significant time spent away from home due to travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer sites to install digital signage enclosures and equipment
- Deploy and install IT equipment, including switches, access points, TVs, and computer equipment, at customer sites
- Attend customer sites to complete PPM activity (equipment checklists & cleaning)
- Maintain stock inventory at your location – collect and return items to a designated location
- Provide accurate weekly time and expense sheets
- Complete detailed and accurate reports for each job attended
- Liaise with the service desk and projects team to confirm work orders and resolve issues at customer sites
- Demonstrate an understanding of Trust Systems ISO Certifications and the obligations within this role

About You:
- Previous experience in shop fitting, IT, or data cabling would be advantageous but not essential. Full training will be provided
- Existing IPAF, CSCS, ECS cards would be advantageous but not essential
- Physically fit and able to perform tasks that involve extensive manual handling, use of ladders, and power tools
- Hold a full UK driving license, as extensive travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas is required
You must also have first class skills in written and spoken English with excellent grammar, along with an organised approach and an ability to prioritise.
Due to the nature of our client, you will need to pass a background check to BPSS Standard – applicants that do not meet this requirement cannot be progressed.
