As a Montessori Mentor, your role is primarily on the Programs Team. You’ll engage in a variety of work designed to maintain and support program quality, here and now, for all schools in our network. This will include actively solving program problems, typically through some form of coaching, mentorship, or consulting with Guides (teachers).
Please also take it as part of your work, and your goal in this position is to develop yourself actively. It is not necessary for you to come into this role having already mastered all of the skills you would ultimately like to develop. Just focus on pushing yourself in whatever areas may be required and making active progress on your journey.
Core ResponsibilityYou share accountability for the program quality health for all programs in all levels at all locations within the Singapore network of school as reflected by our Markers of Program Quality.
Your duties and responsibilities will evolve as a reflection of our organizational growth and Mentors are expected to deal with exigencies relevant to the role. A willingness to grow through ad hoc assigned tasks that maybe assigned from time to time is expected of Mentors.
Initial Scope of Work
Actively contribute to program quality through -
Mentorship of Guides
· In-class observations and mentorship of guides to maintain and increase program quality as well as support ongoing professional growth and career advancement of talent.
· Document mentorship efforts and share feedback to all program stakeholders.
· Provide critical feedback to school leaders, Programs, School Success and People Ops relating to individual guide’s performance especially when health, safety and safeguarding concerns arise.
· Set a positive example in all of your interactions by being supportive and understanding, while modeling and encouraging a solutions-focused growth mindset.
Program Assessment
· Participate in measuring the quality of all programs in all levels at all locations within the network of schools through MPQ Baseline, MPQ Midyear and MOQ Year End cycles.
· Analyze MPQ data at the completion of each assessment cycle and provide critical feedback on under-performing programs.
· Use MPQ and enrollment data to inform day-to-day mentorship efforts, ensuring lowest performing programs are prioritized. This may include additional program assessment cycles to provide comprehensive feedback on programs are that under-performing.
· Other responsibilities as mutually agreed with the Programs Team
Program Development
· Contribute to the adjustment or development of programs in response to organizational needs.
· Develop and facilitate training modules for guides on adjusted or new programs.
Training
· Contribute to the development and delivery of targeted training modules for guides on areas of growth as identified by MPQ results.
· Facilitate and supervise guided practice with materials.
· Observe course offerings and provide substantial feedback for improvement.
· Participate in Field Visits cycles for guides enrolled in CEG-ASCMC.
· Other responsibilities as mutually agreed with the training team.
Maintain a Healthy Community and Strong Communication
· Establish and proactively maintain a foundation of trust with all program stakeholders through in-person and online professional interactions, modeling the Montessori principles we strive to promote within our organization.
· Maintain open and transparent communication with the full Programs team by looping in Programs email list in email correspondence.
· Communicate actively with all team members and be responsive to call outs through Teams and emails.
· Attend regular training and alignment meetings with Programs and Training teams.
· Participate in one-on-one meetings with your line manager.
