This is a substantive role for an RGN with extensive sexual health service experience who will be employed to work in the specialty of Integrated Sexual Health as part of the Essex and Suffolk Sexual Health Services. The post holder will lead in the day-to-day support and management of the online element of both the ESHS and SSHS supporting the integrated service teams and the public in access to and management of the online service. The post holder will be expected to travel between sites across both counties. The Post holder will have responsibility for the oversight of the management of results from the online ‘click it' service. This would include audit of results and uptake of the online testing service and leadership of the safeguarding oversight of the digital service.
• Oversight of the results generated by the online testing service, reviewing data of these results and presenting to the Operational and wider Team
• Oversight of the PHR safeguarding and vulnerability alerts
• Oversight of the response to urgent tasks generated by the PHR
• Support the Navigation Hub Team with service user queries offering a point of contact and support, coordinating access, signposting and onward referral as indicated.
• Line management responsibilities for band 6 clinic online nurse and Navigation Hub Lead
• Maintain oversight of the online access processes communication with partners supplying service and responsively and swiftly managing and escalating any issues as they arise
• Manage service user queries relating to online access
• Support development of marketing and information for public, staff and service user
• Actively participate in the development of service specifications to improve and enhance online access
• Working with Navigation Hub Team oversee and support the eC-Card condom access scheme, initiating developments to improve access and service
• Work effectively in a team environment, delivering a high standard of evidence based integrated sexual health practice through virtual support and management of service users seeking sexual health services.

· Support individual quadrant teams with online access queries, communicating with partners, service users and wider services when required. Linking with results management functions to ensure online pathway is maintained effectively
· Maintain an updated awareness of service developments across the partnership to ensure that referral and direction is optimal
· Work effectively with quadrant teams to ensure opportunities for direct practice and ongoing development are realised
· Offer appropriate health promotion and health information and support health promotion and other targeted activity both within and outside of the Integrated sexual health service
· Maintain confidentiality of service user information at all times ensuring acute awareness and application of ESHS / SSHS standards of information governance
· Work within the guidelines set down by law and the Nursing and Midwifery Council and other bodies of authority
· Ensure all care is given in accordance with agreed protocols and guidance
· Be fully aware of Integrated sexual health services and organisation safeguarding procedures
· Actively involve service users in providing feedback of their experience of service and communicate suggestions for improvement. Work with staff in clinical areas where changes to practice are required and where opportunities exist to improve treatment, support and overall experience for service users
· Communicate with elements of partnership involved with engagement and co-production, highlighting opportunities for service user input and engagement
· Comply with organisations fitness to practice training
· Maintain contemporaneous and accurate treatment records, submitting relevant statistics, reports and activity data as required
· Identify and evaluate own attitudes towards integrated sexual health and accept the values of the service user, adapting interpersonal approach accordingly
· Participate in the management of sexually transmitted and reproductive tract infections management as required and be willing to develop practice via theoretical and practical training
· Participate in targeted sexual health interventions and sexual health promotion events within non-clinical community settings
· Assess clients for STI risk and manage accordingly
· Support non face to face clinical management and self-management
· Be able to carry out a full medical and sexual history
· Be willing to undertake training in specific areas clinical practice, including intrauterine and implant procedure, and apply this development in the clinical setting in accordance with department clinical guidance
· Be willing to undertake training to gain independent (non-medical) prescribing status and apply to clinical practice in accordance with department and organisation non-medical prescribing policie
· Be able to work flexibly and participate in clinic rotation as required
Assess service users and realises own responsibility in these consultations
· Using the integrated sexual health service record system record all virtual and other interventions, support and wider direction and discussion
· Assist to develop, introduce and apply research-based findings to clinical practice.
· Membership of relevant meetings and attendance at courses to maintain clinical and professional competence and knowledge
· Attend mandatory updates and study sessions
· With support from department, engage in process to achieve Nurse Diploma Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (NDSFRH) and STIF intermediate competencies
· Attend staff meetings
· Notify Clinical Service Manager of proposed annual leave, giving at least one month’s notice unless exceptional circumstances prevail
· Participate in programmes of education and training in order to meet the identified needs of service users
· Inform line manager when absent due to sickness and report again on return to work in accordance with organisations policy
· Achieve a range of clinical competencies for the delivery of safe and effective integrated sexual health service as required within the service in line with the post profile, department clinical competency record and professional development plan
· Actively engage in the professional development review process including evidencing development via the department competency document.
· Clinically supervise and manage allocated Care Navigation Staff to ensure appropriate development of additional skills in the support worker team, such as:
o Health promotion and information delivery to targeted groups in clinical and non-clinical venues.
· Meet regularly with supervisee to ensure effective development and supervision for Care Navigation staff
· Develop and lead teaching sessions to facilitate development of others
· Deputise for Line Manager as required
