• Performs routine budget analysis functions in assigned areas.

As a Program Coordinator your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Leads, manages, and coordinates a complex portfolio of internship programs and partnerships for the region, including but not limited to the Public Lands Corps (PLC) hiring authority and associated partner internships, Directorate Fellows Program (DFP), and Pathways Internship Program.
• Establishes strategic partnerships across all programs within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Tribal entities, and non-governmental partners for the purpose of representing the Service and connecting with non-governmental counterparts to establish administrative and recruitment relationships.
• Develops new and innovative programs that engage people through internship and fellowship employment opportunities with FWS programs and partners, with a focus on diversity and underrepresented groups.
• Creates and disseminates standardized materials and tools for communicating the benefits and mechanics of the various FWS hiring programs and associated special hiring authorities for a variety of audiences.
• Identifies and provides related training needs for programs to improve overall quality of the internship program, at a station, program, and/or region; and develops innovative solutions to practices and standards for youth education, engagement, and employment programs to ensure the currency of the FWS programs.

As a Supervisory Contract Specialist, you will:

• Represent the GSS in contracts and negotiations with contractors and their representatives to clarify and achieve agreement with respect to action to be taken on unusually controversial issues arising from major purchase transactions.
• Prepare and administer Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), task orders, and contracts for supplies and services IAW the FAR and GSA internal policies. Performs a range of managerial and programmatic roles
  in support of these acquisition efforts, focused upon providing technical direction and guidance to management, customers, industry, specifications, socio-economic concerns, and similar matters or unusual problems.
• Serve as a first level supervisor over a section of expert contracting and acquisition personnel. 
• Establish contacts and maintain liaison with other agencies both military and civilian, and with other elements of the GSS and GSA.

• Manages a team and develops information policies and programs in support of FSIS goals to a variety of internal and external stakeholders in a variety of media.
• Works closely with the DECS director in developing and administering FSIS-wide executive communication strategies to inform stakeholders, including consumers, industry, academia, and the general public, of FSIS.
• Ensures that communication activities are consistent with and support OPACE and FSIS long-range plans, including the annual performance plan, strategic plans, budget plans and performance plans.
• Provides advice for the development and implementation of policies, plans, and programs that have a significant effect on the FSIS’s ability to effectively communicate and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines for internal communication, correspondence, and stakeholder engagement, including virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.

This includes managing data quality processes, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee how data is used in broader operations, ensuring that analytics tools provide meaningful insights to enhance operational efficiency, inform decision-making, and optimize resource management.
• Researches and assesses emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and predictive analytics to enhance PBS operations. • Supervises a team of analysts and program managers. Develops and implements long-range work plans and schedules, or methods, procedures, etc. for the accomplishment of approved policies, goals, and objectives, and provides advice, counsel, or instruction to individual employees on both work and administrative matters. Supervisory functions include ensuring that job descriptions accurately depict the actual work requirements and that personnel actions are promptly initiated; planning and scheduling work; making assignments to subordinates based on priorities; and, accepting, amending or rejecting completed work. As supervisor, the incumbent evaluates employees overall performance and ensures that each accomplishes a satisfactory amount of quality level of work in a timely manner; hears and resolves complaints, and refers the more serious grievances to a higher authority; and, effects disciplinary measures and recommends action in the more serious cases. • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including regional offices, other government agencies, and private-sector partners. • Manages a system for ensuring responses to FOIA/PA requests are complete, consistent, and timely.
• Monitors incoming FOIA/PAs to identify issues of importance to FSIS and to ensure coordinated responses.
