As a friendly yet organised manager, your main responsibilities will include:

Carrying out assessments of new or existing residents, ensuring all allocated residents have a comprehensive care plan in place
Being responsible for the management and performance of care employees by providing induction, line management, supervision and support to a defined number of Care Workers
Supporting the Management Team with all aspects of team management including but not limited to: recruitment, employee induction, training and disciplinary procedures and sickness absence
Contributing to the service’s quality assurance system by way of auditing, conducting observations and responding to residents’ feedback
Preparing rotas in line with commissioned care hours
Acting as the responsible person for the safe running of the care service in the absence of the Registered Manager

To be considered for the role of Nursery Room Leader (Level 3) you will have:

• A minimum of a Level 3 childcare related qualification
• GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014)
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks
• Good time management and organisational skills

The role of a Nursery Room Leader (Level 3) within the Nursery involves:

• Always Providing high quality care
• Acting as a Key person to several children and maintaining regular contact with parents
• Ensuring that the Room is compliant with internal and external policies and regulations.
• Planning daily activities, in line with EYFS curriculum
• Carrying out supervisions and evaluations
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring they are filed accordingly.
• Acting as a mentor and providing leadership to junior members of staff
• Ensuring that the Room and Nursery has good staffing levels and arrange cover when needed.
