Applicants will be required to assist in the delivery of a high quality education and care service to pre 5 children and their families and to work as part of the management team to assist in the effective management of the nursery.

The main duties of the post will include planning and implementation of an appropriate curriculum for children aged 3-5 years, assessment recording and reporting on children’s progress; supporting staff in curriculum planning, assessment and observation practices, monitoring the development and implementation of IEPs, developing parental participation, promoting work with other agencies and contributing to the management of the service.

You must hold a Relevant practice qualification in early learning and childcare: HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7) or equivalent.

Have Experience of working in an early learning and childcare setting, planning and delivering a relevant and inclusive curriculum and assessment and documentation of children’s learning in line with national and local guidance.

Knowledge of current local and national curriculum guidance relevant to early learning and childcare, including GIRFEC, Child Protection and Inclusion, Knowledge of child development and planning and assessment processes to support children’s learning and development and awareness of health and safety requirements and an ability to undertake risk assessments are essential.

Based at Back Sneddon Centre, 20 Back Sneddon Street, Paisley.

We are seeking to recruit 2 dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to the post of Senior Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service Worker within the Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service, for Renfrewshire HSCP.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide a range of services to individuals and their families experiencing drug and/or alcohol related problems. You will be expected to assess the impact of parental substance use on children; establish links with other agencies and professionals in relation to joint working, provide advice and guidance for individuals, families and groups known to the Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a dynamic team and improve service delivery for families impacted by alcohol and/or drug use.

Experience of supporting individuals with alcohol and drug problems is essential as well as a SVQ Level 4 in Social Care/Community Care, or equivalent, and already gained or have the potential to achieve degree level. and/or able to demonstrate commitment to CPD.

You must also have working knowledge and experience of current approaches required within Recovery Orientated Systems of Care, working knowledge and experience of GIRFEC, Child Protection and Adult Protection and working experience of directly applying a range of therapeutic and clinical interventions in the context of alcohol and drugs, both individually and in groups.

It is essential you have basic IT skills, ability to prioritise own workload and that of staff under your supervision, a responsible approach to sensitive information and supervisory/management experience of staff.

A positive view of the welfare of individuals and families experiencing difficulties related to alcohol and drugs and ability to support staff in developing their personal skills to promote good practice, through supervision and training is also essential.
