CCP is excited to have been awarded a new contract from Gloucestershire County Council, to provide support and accommodation to
refugees who have been granted leave to remain by the Home Office. As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide vital support to
refugees living in our supported accommodation building in Abbeydale, Gloucester. This is a full-time position working 12.25 hour
shifts, in our Accommodation Based Services team.
In this role, you will provide vital practical and emotional support to residents, promoting their independence through
trauma-informed care and strong relationships. You will host group and individual training sessions, connecting residents to
broader support networks.
You will tackle language barriers by improving residents' English skills, collaborating with ESOL and Adult Education programs.
Collaboration with various agencies will address cultural awareness, domestic abuse, housing, health, and substance abuse
sensitively.
Given the temporary nature of the accommodation, your focus will be ensuring residents are ready to move on within a three-month
timeframe. You will enhance their independent living skills, help access benefits, foster community engagement, aid employment
searches, and identify housing opportunities.
As a Senior you'll assist in the recruitment, selection and induction of new members of the team focusing on supervisions,
appraisals, and other quality measures.
To excel, you will need patience, kindness, resilience, and professionalism, and proficiency in English, ideally along with either
Persian, Arabic, Kurdish, Albanian, Tigrinya, Vietnamese, or other refugee language skills.

*Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be
