The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner in liaison with other health professionals within a multidisciplinary team. refugees who have been granted leave to remain by the Home Office. As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide vital support to
refugees living in our supported accommodation building in Abbeydale, Gloucester. This is a full-time position working 12.25 hour
shifts, in our Accommodation Based Services team.




In this role, you will provide vital practical and emotional support to residents, promoting their independence through
trauma-informed care and strong relationships. You will host group and individual training sessions, connecting residents to
broader support networks.




You will tackle language barriers by improving residents' English skills, collaborating with ESOL and Adult Education programs.
Collaboration with various agencies will address cultural awareness, domestic abuse, housing, health, and substance abuse
sensitively.




Given the temporary nature of the accommodation, your focus will be ensuring residents are ready to move on within a three-month
timeframe. You will enhance their independent living skills, help access benefits, foster community engagement, aid employment
searches, and identify housing opportunities.
