JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Engineer with good troubleshooting, fault-finding and repair skills and experience within a production environment preferably with vacuum, pneumatics, electronics, high voltage, flammable gases, workshop equipment and woodwork skills.

Working as the Senior Maintenance Engineer you will be part of the Engineering Team and will play a key role supporting production. The role will be to ensure that production equipment is maintained and that any breakdowns are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be required to support in the general day to day maintenance of the buildings and their infrastructure that makes up the company.

As the Senior Maintenance Engineer, you would be responsible for machinery maintenance and breakdowns, and support with all facilities maintenance and fabrication.

You will be working closely with the other engineers, and will help them develop their skills with vacuum, pneumatics, high voltage, PLC, furnaces, glass working lathes and many other unique pieces of equipment.

What will you be doing?

You will report to the Registered Manager to ensure the service meets the CQC requirements. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Shared Internal Audit in delivering a comprehensive audit function across key areas, including contracting, information governance, ICT, project management, and corporate governance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring the efficient and secure use of resources, and providing valuable advice to the Local Authority and its partners.

Main responsibilities

• Perform risk-based audits and reviews of key financial systems as outlined in the annual Audit Plan.
• Prepare reports on control effectiveness, and compliance, and propose actions to address any weaknesses or non-compliance.
