We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Learning Support Assistants to join our ASC Centre team at Oxford college.About the role
The successful applicants will be supporting students with Autism and other associated difficulties on courses which are designed for those with Autism and associated difficulties or supporting students to access their course. These courses are from Foundation Level 1 courses to Level 3 courses. There will be an expectation to support in all areas.
You will be responsible for facilitating individual learning programmes, providing support to our learners in small groups and 1-1 activities when attending the ASC Centres. Job Summary:
Salisbury House is a Lifehouse accommodating 64 adults 18 years and over who are experiencing homelessness. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Support Worker (Nights) who is motivated and able to assist with delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.
Key Responsibilities:

Understand and work within the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army.
Support the Spiritual Programme running within the service where required.
Respect the diversity of other people’s culture, faith and practice.
Promote client choice by working as part of the Support Team to deliver a range of inhouse support provisions which clients can opt into and which are designed to achieve successful housing related support outcomes.
Work in line with all relevant legislation and guidelines to protect clients, colleagues, staff and visitors from any abuse, accident, or injury.
Maintaining and developing day to day office duties and provide administrative support.
The Assistant Support Worker will complete any other duties as could be reasonably expected of someone in the fulfilment of this role.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for the delivery of day care to adults who have autism and complex learning disabilities, consistent with Social Work policies and procedures including assisting service users to meet their needs as detailed in their care plans in an autism focussed way which respects their dignity as individuals, maximising their levels of independence and promoting their inclusion within the wider community.

You must enjoy working with people who have autism and learning disabilities and have an understanding of their needs; be an effective communicator, showing a courteous manner to service users, carers, other professionals and agencies; be able to work on your own initiative, be honest and enthusiastic with the capacity to learn and apply new skills. You must be available to work flexibly as required.

Possession of a SVQ Level 2 in Social Care is desirable, while the commitment and capacity to achieve this qualification is essential.

A driving licence that allows you to drive a minibus is desirable.

You must be registered or willing to register with the SSSC or other appropriate Social Care Regulatory Body.
