Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry.

Build a Career:
As an intern in the Stewardship department of Marketing Shared Services, your role will focus on evolving our organizational stewardship strategy and projects through a variety of ways:
Data collection and data tracking related to organizational sustainability/stewardship-focused areas.
Design and implement projects and initiatives to support stewardship
Implementation plan or best practice to reduce waste in key areas
Engagement and interviews with waste diversion vendors
Support greenhouse gas inventory and updates. Gain experience with tool for carbon management
Competitor analysis
Vendor engagement
Help solicit and organize customer and employee feedback.
Support sustainability survey response and organization.
In addition to the impactful work you will complete within your department, you will:
Assist with projects tied to Gordon Food Service’s strategic initiatives.
Gain knowledge of the business, workplace etiquette, and business communication.
Work 1:1 with a Talent Acquisition Specialist to revamp your resume.
Work on cross-functional teams to present impactful business solutions to senior leadership.

Being an intern at Gordon Food Service, North America's largest family-owned broadline food service distributor.
Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2024 internship program:
Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor degree
Incoming Junior or Senior status as of May 2024 (Minimum of 56 credit hours)
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must be authorized to work in the US.
