The CSP Program Manager (PM) Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Manager (NM) executes position responsibilities that demonstrate beginning leadership skills and participates in specific program experiences. The Referral Coordination Team (RCT) Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) works collaboratively with the RCT
facility OCC program, the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) and Specialty Care clinicians and other staff within VA and outside VA. The RCT AMSA is responsible for interpreting and verifying clinical RCT member guidance and/or provider orders in accordance with the VHA national scheduling guidelines to schedule, cancel, re-schedule patient's appointments and/or consults. • Enters no-show information and monitors the electronic wait list;
• Prepares for clinic visits;
• Monitors both inpatient and outpatient appointments for areas of responsibility;
• Ensures encounter forms are completed in order to obtain appropriate workload credit;
• Verifies and updates demographics and insurance information;
• Processes all emergency and non-- emergency transfers to other VA facilities or private hospitals;
• Performs basic eligibility, co-pays and preauthorization requirements for specific coverage.

• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks.
• A high degree of personal and professional accountability, maturity, stability and the ability to function independently and work effectively as a team with internal and external personnel.
• Ability to adapt to changing work assignments as needed to meet facility needs.
