Accommodation Support Officer
Location: Managing cases from HMP Bristol, with travel around the local area as required for meetings and participant appointments.
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,650 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Join our team as an Accommodation Support Officer and support our participants with their housing needs.
About the Role:
As an Accommodation Support Officer, you will work with a caseload of adult males within a custodial or community environment. You will collaborate closely with probation practitioners to complete initial assessments, understanding the specific needs of each participant. Based on these assessments, you will create and implement tailored accommodation plans, ensuring that participants are informed of any decisions that affect them and aware of their rights throughout the process.
Your role will involve:
- Managing a caseload of participants, producing personalised accommodation plans.
- Conducting initial assessments, considering risk, situation, and need.
- Recording progress and outcomes accurately using a case management system.
- Maintaining regular contact with participants, identifying and addressing any emerging risks or concerns.
About You:
We are seeking a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills who can create and maintain professional relationships with participants and stakeholders. You should be a positive role model, capable of encouraging and supporting participants to make positive changes in their attitudes and behavior. While experience in homelessness legislation or the criminal justice sector is desirable, we welcome applicants who are engaging, empathetic, and comfortable working with diverse individuals from various backgrounds. On-site training and support will be provided to help you develop the necessary knowledge and skills.
Skills and Experience:
- Desirable: Experience or knowledge of accommodation services, including relevant legislation.
- Essential: Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants and external stakeholders.
- Desirable: Experience or knowledge of the Criminal Justice System.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
