Cook - 40 hours per week including alternate weekends (4 X 10 hour shifts, 7am-5pm per week).
As a Cook at Parkland House, rated Outstanding by CQC, you will work as part of a team who provide the best care for the people living in our homes and be a part of the next chapter in their story.
You will get to know them and what matters the most to them so you can support them in the best way possible, recognising their individual choice.
You will lead and work with the catering team to provide nutritious, well balanced, attractive meals to support the people living in our homes to live well.
You will ensure we cater for those with special dietary needs and offer choice so that individual needs are met.
You will organise the smooth running of the kitchen by working with and delegating appropriate tasks to the catering team.
You will have responsibility for the day to day operation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is clean and in good, safe working order and maintain hygiene standards.
You will maintain appropriate records to comply with HACCP, Company standards and legislation.
Every day is different and hard work is required, but each day, you will go home knowing you have made a difference to their lives.
We provide online training, along with face to face support, supervision and a full induction.
What you need most of all is a desire to help, to be kind and to enjoy making someone’s day that little bit easier.
