Your new role
Role: Head of Service
Location: Exeter or Bristol with travel as needed.
Hours: 40 hours per week, with some shift work as needed, and participation in a shared on-call rotaAssignment Length: This is anticipated to last for four months.
A role within a Regulated Care Company intended to build management capacity for the duration of a busy project.
You will be working as part of the Senior Management Team to support the transition of regulated care services from Guinness to new care providers. You will be part of a team delivering on a project action plan whilst contributing to the delivery of high-quality business as usual.
The successful candidate will need a flexible approach to work, your time will be spent between project management, being involved in the day-to-day oversight of our care schemes across Devon, Bristol & Barnsley and carrying out some Quality Audit duties. Some key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver your allocated tasks as part of the Project Action Plan group
- Assume line management of services in the absence of other Heads of Service or Registered Managers
- Carry out some quality audit functions and support services to maintain and improve regulatory compliance during a time of change
- Participate in the on call rota for Heads of Service
- As required, oversee efficient and effective people management.
- Ensure excellent person-centred care and support plans and risk assessments are in place and staff are supported to develop these.
- Deliver successful performance against business KPIs
- Ensure rostering systems are used effectively to deploy staff to meet commissioned, budgeted and person-centred requirements.
- If required, work collaboratively with relevant agencies including CQC and Commissioners.
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, with attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as registered manager
- Excellent leadership and managerial experience.
- NVQ level 5 desirable
- Must have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
