Education Support Assistant
Salary: £26,421 FTE, £21,497 prorated
Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (TTO +INSET)
Contract Type: 1-year fixed term until 31/08/2025

About the Role
As an integral part ofpastoral provision, you will be responsible for planning and deliveringtargeted interventions to identified KS4 students who require additionalsupport. This role involves maintaining high expectations and helping studentsidentify their personal aspirations. You'll provide mentoring interventions andsupport students as they work independently on core subjects. Occasionally, youmay accompany students to off-site activities.
About You
- A proactive and resourceful individual committed to ensuring high standards for all young people.
- Your up-to-date knowledge and demonstrated commitment to recent training related to SEND interventions, literacy, or numeracy are essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills are crucial, as you'll interact with parents, outside agencies, and students.
- A good standard of education with proficiency in English and Maths, along with experience working with young people with SEND, is essential. SEND-specific qualifications are desirable.
- Patience, compassion, and confidence in working with secondary students in KS4 are key attributes.
