• Maintaining employee property card entries and updates.
• Tracking, sorting, organizing, and distributing property.
• Organizing and maintaining supply rooms.
• Correspondence routing using automation systems.
• Disposing of excess property by completing the required forms.

This position starts at a salary of $50,917.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $80,965.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $80,965.00 (GS-9 Step 10).

The Mission Support Specialist assists in providing direct advice and guidance to employees; developing and modified administrative program work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective services. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting in providing direct advice and guidance to USBP employees at headquarters and throughout the sector and independently coordinating the work of the assigned office for all administrative duties to include budget, inventory, property, fleet, workforce management, workers compensation, payroll, and travel.
• Serving as the assigned sector supplies specialist and facilitating tracking and support in maintaining vehicle board with current mileage, assigned agent, and next service due; arranging for delivery of tires, oil, and filters from the sector for local repairs and service; and arranging to shuttle vehicles to and from local garages for scheduled service in accordance with agency guidelines and supervisor guidance.
• Completing monthly purchase card statement reconciliation.
• Scheduling bulk fuel deliveries; receiving invoices in Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP); and arranging for payment on the bulk fuel purchase card.

This position starts at a salary of $100,287.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $130,369.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $130,369.00 (GS-12 Step 10).

In this Mission Support Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals analyzing and refining existing work methods and developing new methods and procedures. Typical work assignments include:

• Participating in making contributions to management decisions in assigned areas.
• Providing comprehensive advisory and technical services on substantive organizational functions and work practices.
• Developing new or modified administrative program work methods, approaches, or procedures for delivering effective services to customers.
• Providing senior level advice in an administrative specialty area(s).

The Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) provides technical guidance and performs a variety of comprehensive services. Duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting with conducing inventories, record management, and preparing and processing of various reports.
• Researching suppliers and working with requestors to procure goods and services and preparing required procurement documents for approval.
• Preparing local records management related to fleet management, providing support in the scheduling of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Applying methods, principles, and practices commonly used in workforce management to include staffing, managing tools and internal software, benefits, pay and Workers' Compensation.
