Key Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• A minimum of 6 months experience in a social care environment.

• Availability for common shifts from 17:30 to 22:00 (4.5 hours) daily, with additional weekend shifts from 07:30/09:30 to 22:00.
• A driving license is preferred but not necessary.
• A DBS on the update service is desirable but can be discussed regarding new applications.

Role: Young Person Support Worker

The young people that you will be supporting have come from a background of trauma and abuse.

Due to the needs of our young people, you will be required to drive. Some of the daily duties will include, taking the young people to and from appointments, helping with shopping, allowing them to manage finances independently. Supporting with meal preparation and menu planning. As the young people have come from a challenging background, much of the role will be based on supporting the young people emotionally.

Working as a support worker for young people will allow them to live independently and help them to gain confidence with their everyday living skills.

My client provide`s 24hr care for young people, the working hours would be as follows:
8am-11pm - Sleeping in until 8am
