- Serves as lead on various non-standard industrial tasks in connection with the repair and operation of utilities for a variety of large and complex federal buildings or facilities.
- Performs various checks, tests, adjustments and troubleshooting tasks to determine the need of repair and operational work.
- Plans, lays out, sets up and completed specified tasks using equipment of the trade, blueprints, sketches, oral instructions and other specifications.
- Recognizes faulty equipment, install and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system including all air handlers, Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes, supply and exhaust fans, boilers, pumps, and control systems.
- Performs complex repairs on the utility system for optimum efficiency and safety. programs, repairs and monitors Johnson Controls Building Automation System (BAS).
- Maintains building environment with adequate lighting, heating, cooling, and air flow for both human and animal occupants per study requirements or at the request of tenants.
- Keeps records of equipment run logs, work orders and preventative maintenance performed utilizing automated system.
- Works with Safety Officer in order to ensure all State, Local, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations are met in workplace.
- Mentors apprentice and journey level utility systems repairer-operators and provides on the job training.
Starting at $32.94 Per Hour (WG 11)
