Support Worker- Kirknewton
Relief positions available- £12.00 per hour
Due to our rural location, limited public transport links and shift patterns, candidates need to be drivers or local to the area.
We are looking for a caring and trustworthy individual with excellent communication skills and a bubbly personality to support 7 males in 2 separate dwellings based in Kirknewton.
About the role
Support is uniquely tailored to each individual to live the life they choose.
The team offer support with personal care, medication, dietary needs, appointments, home maintenance and finances. Most importantly, the team support the men with accessing the community and promoting their independence to live the life that they choose.
Our service users particularly enjoy trips to the cinema, outings to pantomimes, going to watch tribute bands and our takeaway nights!
The service is an Old Steadings set in farmland with stunning views. Our service therefore has a lovely relaxed atmosphere which is appreciated by the people we support and our staff alike. Our warm, cosy and welcoming service is certainly homely and serene, a small walk around and there are horses to feed in the stables!
Previous experience is desirable for this position although full training will be provided. We will support you along your career path to learn, develop and grow.
An enhanced adult PVG will be required for this role.
Shift pattern and working hours
Shifts are arranged on a rota system, so you will be working as part of an enthusiastic and experienced team to deliver the following hours:
07.30am- 03.30pm
08.00am- 04.00pm
04:00pm- 08:00pm
08:00pm- 08.00am (Waking Nights)
