Position Overview:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the quantity surveying team in the delivery of our residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a passion for construction and a desire to develop their career in quantity surveying within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets for residential projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and financial targets.

Procurement: Support the procurement process by obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Subcontractor Management: Assist in the management of subcontractor agreements, including the preparation of subcontractor packages, valuation of works, and assessment of variations.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and valuations, to monitor project financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

Risk Management: Assist in identifying and mitigating commercial risks associated with residential projects, working collaboratively with project teams to implement effective risk management strategies.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety requirements and building regulations.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the quantity surveying team, as well as project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
Requirements:

Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.

Experience: Previous experience in a quantity surveying role within the construction industry is desirable but not essential. Recent graduates or candidates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
