Telent are looking for a (Wireless Telecoms) Design Surveyor to join the growing Wireless division. With a influx in work across the Wireless Telecoms market, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your Design Surveyor expertise into the team! Being at the forefront of major rollout and modernisation programmes, you will have the opportunity to work on some challenging yet rewarding projects here at Telent. This is a hybrid working role, that will see you in the Warwick Headquarters at least 1 day per week, and the rest of your time working from home or conducting the odd site visit!

This role involves travelling to various sites and carrying out detailed Dimensional Surveys of Wireless Telecommunications infrastructure. You will be Design Surveying on rooftops, greenfield sites and telecommunications masts, to obtain necessary information to drive successful completion of design activities by other members of the team, such as detailed drawings and calculations. This Design Surveyor role based in the Midlands region mainly, but travelling throughout England and Wales may be required. This is an active role that will prove to be both physically and mentally rewarding.
Design Surveyor - What you'll do:
The key deliverables of this role are as follows:
- Provision of comprehensive, detailed Survey information from sites.
- Completion of Survey reports for submission to the customer.
- Clear and concise Survey notes that can easily be understood by others.
- Successful completion of targeted Survey numbers.
- Implement and share knowledge of Telecommunications / Wireless Telecoms with customers and colleagues whilst conducting Surveys and producing reports.
Design Surveyor - Requirements:
- Primarily responsible for the health and safety of yourself and those working with you.
- Compliance with all H&S procedures and protocols.
- Keeping up to date with training requirements.
- Quality Assurance of reports and survey information.
- Person in Charge of Works (PICW) when carrying out surveys with a team or with external suppliers.
- Responsible and safe driving at all times.
- Dynamic and be able to manage time and tasks well.
- Knowledge of Wireless Telecoms / Wireless Infrastructure within Surveying.
- Must have Roof Access awareness, have Radio Frequency (RF) awareness, have Asbestos Awareness.
- Emergency First Aider (Desirable not essential)
Design Surveyor - Who you are:
The ideal Design Surveyor will have previous experience in Surveying within the Telecoms / Wireless Telecoms / Wireless Infrastructure markets. You will have access to working in a constantly evolving team, working on technology led projects including 5g rollouts, RAN modernisation projects and so on, so naturally, you will have a keen interest in this line of work. You will also gain access to rooftops, greenfield sites and work on new build projects as well which will require your Design Surveying experience right from the beginning. We are also looking for someone that has a desire to constantly learn and develop, which will lead you to take on more of a Design Management type role in the future.
