Our client, a collaborative and nurturing international firm, is looking for a Property & Casualty Claims Handler to join their vibrant and growing Insurance Group in Bristol. The firm has a well-established client base, acting for the vast majority of household and commercial property Insurers in the market, as well as some large insureds and cover holders. Your new role
The role largely involves running a case load of subrogated recovery matters on behalf of a range of insurers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run a property recovery claim from first instruction, through the pre-action stage and into proceedings when necessary. What you'll need to succeed

What Will You Be Doing?

You'll work as part of a two-person crew, handling tasks like breaking up ground and replacing or installing digital units across the local area, with occasional travel further afield as needed. As a Surveyor Administrator, you will be an integral part of our client's team, working closely with building surveyors, brokers, and corporate clients to provide administrative support. Your excellent verbal and written skills will be put to good use as you communicate with clients daily. Our client is looking for someone who is not afraid to get stuck in and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure the success of the business which will result in a managerial position for the right person.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dealing with high volumes of inbound calls and emails
• Communicating with surveyors, brokers and corporate clients
• Allocation of new instructions via a bespoke valuation system
• Progress chasing to ensure strict service levels are maintained
• Providing free quotes
• Provide general admin and office duties - dealing with any issues that may arise

In addition to these duties, our client is also looking for a candidate who is very computer literate and can utilise various software programs with ease. Our client needs someone who can learn and adapt quickly to new systems and tools.

As a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring cost efficiency and effective budget control throughout the construction process. Key Responsibilities:

Take the lead in all financial matters related to construction projects, from tender stage to project completion.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and control project finances effectively.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building and maintaining positive relationships.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Sound understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

Professional qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines would be advantageous.
