In order to succeed in this position, it would be highly beneficial to have worked as a trade historically (carpenter, plumber, electrician etc.), before progressing into supervisory and surveying positions, or becoming a building surveyor. This background will mean that you'll be able to accurately and confidently liaise with trade supervisors and create reports that mean repair issues are resolved to the highest of standards. Due to project progression, we are looking for multiple Surveyors skilled in Setting Out, at various levels, to include:

• Surveyor
• Senior Surveyor

Day to day, you will play a key role through carrying out Surveying responsibilities integral in the construction of Hinkley Point C.

• Complete setting out surveys prior to equipment arriving on site for layout of the temporary equipment and the permanent equipment
• Conduct post install location surveys for as built drawings all to the ensure compliance to the designed tolerances

What you'll need to succeed
If you have a passion for property, an eye for detail and a drive and motivation to improve the environment, then this could be a fantastic next step for you - there is no requirement to have worked for a local authority previously or within the public sector before. You will need to hold a degree or equivalent qualification within a property related area, and ideally you will be a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. An ability to lead, develop and motivate a team to deliver excellent levels of customer service will be important.

Your new role
As an Estates Surveyor Team Leader, you will be an integral part of a team managing a diverse property portfolio which includes both operational and commercial properties with a range of occupiers including both corporate tenants and local traders. You'll lead a small team, whilst contributing to property management and professional activities including landlord & tenant negotiations.
You will also:

• Undertake line management duties, including appraisals, performance, and personal development training.
