- You will serve as Navy’s focal point for science and technology, development, acquisition (design, construction, classified systems, modernization and transition) and in-service support of attack submarines and related undersea systems.
- You will be lead three program offices: the Virginia Class (VCS), Attack Submarine new construction program, the SSN(X) new attack submarine program office and Advanced Submarine System Development and Submarine Stealth Integration Program Office.
- You will lead the Team Submarine Corporate Staff including to ensure effective operations execution of administrative, facilities, workforce, strategic operations, financial management, congressional and public affairs and Information Technology.
- You will be responsible for the administrative, technical, personnel and program management of attack submarines in development and new construction and science and technology efforts, test range maintenance and international project arrangements.
- You will ensure availability of required program personnel, funding, and facilities; ensures the adequacy and effectiveness of the budgeting, tasking, procurement, funding processes, and financial obligations in order to meet program objectives.
- You will be designated a Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) / Fly by Wire (FBW) System Certification Authority for new construction fast attack submarines.
- You will develop and maintain policies and procedures to support and/or sustain ship certification.
- You will plan, manage and integrate engineering and manufacturing development, test, procurement, installation and delivery for submarine systems development, VCS new construction nuclear submarines and SSN(X) new attack submarine development.
