Your new role

Within your new role you will manage the cost of projects worth up to £20m. You will be responsible for providing Quantity Surveyor functions including commercial transactions, commercial reporting and cash flow management on allocation projects. You will work within an integral part of the business, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Operational Team, ensuring projects are delivered on programme and within budget.
You will be office based 4 days a week and required on site at least once a week.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a degree-educated Quantity Surveyor, and must have at least 5-10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor. Experience of working on civil projects would be an advantage. You will be computer-literate, and will have experience of using relevant software. You will be ambitious, commercially astute, and keen to establish yourself as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a growing main contractor who will be offering you a long-term career.

Commercial Assistant - Construction, based in Lincoln.

A nationally established construction company that specialise in construction and facilities management.

Your new roleThis client is looking for an experienced Commercial Assistant in Construction to be based in Lincoln on a temporary project for a minimum of 2 months.

Duties include:

1. Construction compliance knowledge and understanding.
2. Completing the monthly head count.
3. Managing access control of new contractors on the site access system.
4. Maintain site safety files on site.
5. Scanning / photocopying of documents and uploading to the site filing system.
6. Raising requisitions to the procurement team for materials as directed by site management.

What you'll need to succeedPrevious industry experience in either Housing, Construction or Facilities Management, you will not be considered if you have not worked previously in the sectors listed.

Quantity Surveyor Job, To be based in Lincoln Salary circa £50000 per annum + Car Allowance + Package
Your new companyA Repairs and Maintenance contractor based in Lincoln are looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team due a series of new contracts won across the Lincolnshire region.
Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to repairs and maintenance projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure accurate cost estimation, budget control, and timely delivery of projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects
Schedule of rates
Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments
Procuring materials and subcontractors
Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations
Managing variations and claims
Providing regular reports to the project manager and senior management team
What you'll need to succeedA degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Fawkes & Reece are aiding a privately owned company who deliver site wide infrastructure schemes in their search for a Quantity surveyor to join their team in Lincoln .

The project you will be involved in is a £3m scheme in which includes work on Section 278s , Junctions & resurfacing so the ideal candidate will have experience within a similar environment which would be covering Highways maintenance and infrastructure , general earthworks and civils.

Some of your responsibilities are a listed but not limited to :

-Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project time frame
-Negotiating labour contracts and schedules
-Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes
-Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
