Estate Technician
Leeds – Castleton Close

- £25,147 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 7:30am – 4:00pm
We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team, based in Leeds. As an Estates Technician you will work as part of a small team to carry out a variety of work on void and occupied properties. Most of the work will be external and consist of garden works, fencing, paving and minor external repairs. You will sometimes be required to empty void properties of their contents and clean empty properties ready for further internal works or for it to be rented. A full training plan will be provided as well as a company van and power tools.
The role covers a variety of locations across west and south Yorkshire but is based out of Castleton Close, Armley, Leeds. The successful candidate will predominantly be working in a pair with occasional lone working or working as part of a larger team on bigger projects. The ideal candidate will be hardworking with a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for the tools and equipment they use on a daily basis which includes a work mobile phone.
The role of Estate Technician will include:
- Undertaking general caretaking duties including; cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste, fitting carpets and basic onsite repairs
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include; lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
- Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Good communication and customer care skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
