A client within the Public Sector based in Nottinghamshire is currently recruiting for an Estates Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to deliver asset and property management to an identified portfolio of commercial properties in support to the delivery of the Council's Commercial Property Strategy.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- provide senior support undertaking professional work in the delivery of holistic asset and property management activities to an agreed portfolio of commercial assets
- support the Principal Surveyors in driving the Council's commercial asset priorities to improve the performance of the Council's property portfolio.
- include recovery of arrears, undertaking inspections, tenant liaison and ensuring tenant compliance, asset management, negotiation with occupiers, purchasers and developers.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require MRICS with post qualification experience suitable to the level of the post.
The below experience would be beneficial for the role:
- Ability and willingness to visit and inspect properties
- Knowledge of the law and the valuations practices required in managing a mixed property portfolio
- Experience of delivering multi-disciplinary property projects
- Experience of asset valuations, estate management, negotiation and provision of professional property advice and transactions
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £350 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
