Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Power or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in electrical project engineering, with a focus on transmission and distribution projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical system design, installation, and maintenance for LV to HV systems (up to 132kV).
- Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
- Experience working with contractors and engaging with TNB DN, hands-on experience with building and facility maintenance is an advantage.
- Experience in civil works related to electrical projects, such as substation construction, is preferred.
- Certificate in HV/LV electrical systems Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) & Kad Kelayakan Teknikal (KKT).
- Able to travel to project sites across Malaysia.
Job Descriptions:
1.0 Project Execution & Support
- Assist the Project Manager in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing including DLP of electrical, civil, and mechanical projects, as well as breakdown and operation and maintenance of facilities, such as site supervision, resource allocation, and work schedule management.
- Attending site meeting, liaise & coordinate all project issues with Customer, Owner’s, Engineer, Consultant, Authorities & etc.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding project progress, potential risks, and task completion.
2.0 Transmission and Distribution Works
- Supervise installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including:
- Low Voltage (LV) to High Voltage (HV) installations (up to 132kV).
- Overhead and underground cable works.
- Installation of compact substations and spun poles.
3.0 Civil Works Coordination
- Collaborate with civil engineering teams to ensure the successful integration of electrical systems into the overall project structure.
4.0 Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure that all work adheres to SOP, safety protocols, quality standards, specification and regulatory requirements.
5.0 Budget Management
- Assist in preparing detailed project budgets, including costs for labor, materials, and equipment.
6.0 Testing & Commissioning
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems such as switchgear, transformers, and protection systems.
7.0 Building & Facility Maintenance
- Participate in all routine maintenance activities for electrical, civil and mechanical in facilities managed by the company.
8.0 Team Leadership & Communication
- Work closely with the project team such as site engineers/supervisors/leaders and subcontractors & various departments (e.g., engineering, procurement, finance, quality assurance) to ensure project deliverables are met.
9.0 Risk Management & Safety Compliance
- Identify potential project risks, including technical, financial, and safety-related issues.
