Real Life Options have opened a new Supported Living service in Swadlincote to provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and Complex needs. We will provide individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The purpose-built accommodation is made of individual apartments.
The service comprises of 14 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, and 4 apartments for people with higher complex needs.
The role
You will be supporting individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible. This involves, following daily planners, helping with financial expenditure, domestic support and administration of medication, there may be some support with personal care and meal planning/preparation, maintaining important relationships and support to find new friendships.
A rewarding part of the role will be encouraging participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion. Seeking new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support which could include volunteering roles and further education access.
Shift patterns are generally:
Working on a rota, you will be required to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays and nights with planned time off.
7am to 2pm and 8am to 3pm
2pm to 9pm and 3pm to 10pm
9pm to 7am and 10pm to 7pm (Waking Nights)
We have full time and part time positions available.
You must be able to work over 26 hours per week and due to shift patterns
An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
