We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a secured live projects in West Sussex area for a national Tier 1 contractor.
They work in the education, local authority, health care, commercial/industrial and leisure marketplaces and a majority of the work is won through frameworks such as SCF, Pagabo, DFE and strategic partnerships with local authorities and large independent government bodies. All the work is either framework, negotiated or 2 stage bids. The initial scheme is working on a prison and includes new recreation facilities and accommodation blocks as well as part refurb and new build extension of an existing wing to increase capacity and the project value is approx. £95 million.
You will work closely with the Bid and Estimating teams alongside the PM on preconstruction and bid work before taking onto site. Once on site you will be responsible for procuring packages, managing subcontractors, and set up the procedures for payments, valuations, remeasures, subcontractor engagement and pre-start meetings, chair client meetings, manage the variation account, manage CVR's and other internal reporting metrics all the way through to final account. You Will report into a site based Senior Quantity Surveyor and visiting commercial manager and have the full support and backing of a national contractor.
