An opportunity has arisen to join a leading construction National contractor, who is looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join the team. As the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be tasked with undertaking all pre-construction activities, working closely with design teams, providing invaluable input during the tender stage and ensuring a smooth transition to the construction phase.

Your day to day will look like:

• Manage and coordinate all Pre-Construction activities

Randstad are currently working with a prestigious client who are leading specialists in testing, inspection and certification. They currently have a requirement for a skilled Asbestos Surveyor to join their growing team to look after their large housing portfolio.

Package:

• £35,000
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime at x1.5
• Company car and fuel card

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed and accurate asbestos surveys in order to produce thorough reports
• Liaise with clients and provide the reports with recommendations of management and removal
• Continue to develop knowledge for legislation and best practice within the industry
• Communicate effectively within a team environment
• Ensure deadlines are adhered to and manage client expectations
• Adhere to health and safety at all times
• Work in accordance with HSG 264 Guidelines

Required:

• P402: Surveying and Sampling Strategies
• P403 and P404 are highly regarded
• Background within the asbestos industry, ideally housing
• Up to date knowledge within the asbestos industry
• Valid driving licence

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents, budgets, and cost estimates.

Assisting with the measurement and valuation of work completed on site.

Collaborating with the project team to monitor project costs and variations.

Supporting the negotiation and resolution of contractual disputes and claims.

Conducting regular site visits to ensure accurate measurement and assessment of work.

Utilising industry-standard software for quantity surveying and project management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in using relevant quantity surveying software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive and self-motivated attitude.

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
