Construction Technician
Locations: Dartford, Gateshead, Birmingham, Bristol, and St Helens

Several years ago, they brought their advertising site construction in-house and have since delivered hundreds of successful projects, including digital units, billboards, and large installations. They are currently seeking a Construction Technician to join their growing teams in Dartford, Glasgow, Birmingham, Bristol, and St Helens to support exciting projects in the coming year.
What Will You Be Doing?
You'll work as part of a two-person crew, handling tasks like breaking up ground and replacing or installing digital units across the local area, with occasional travel further afield as needed. The position offers a competitive salary of £34,000 to £40,000, %8 annual bonus, 25 days' paid leave (plus bank holidays), flexible working options, training opportunities, and fully expensed tools and PPE.
If you don't already hold a Class 2 HGV license, training and costs are fully covered to help you obtain it. This physically active role involves working at heights, primarily using step ladders, so teamwork and clear communication with your crew partner are essential.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Transport digital units from the depot to sites using an HGV truck (after training).
- Break ground and install digital units.
- Replace parts on digital units as needed.
- Manage workload with your crew partner and coordinate with other local teams.
- Adhere to Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.
- Ensure traffic management is in place and follow safety protocols to secure the work area.
- Adhere to health and safety policies, using equipment properly and maintaining tools safely.
Knowledge, Experience, and Attributes:
- Full driving licence (max. 3 points).
- CPCS A36 Lorry loader hook (novice or above).
- CPCS Slinger certification.
- Competency in CAT use.
- NRSWA accreditation (Operative standard).
- Knowledge of excavation and sub-structure work.
- Understanding of RAMS and technical drawings.
- Experience with power tools such as hydraulic breakers and disc saws.
