I am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join my clients growing team based in Sheffield with Hybrid working available. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within a specialist team, supporting them in various projects and areas. You will be involved with projects including refurbishments, fit-outs, major extensions, cladding and design and build across an array of sectors. Values typically range anywhere from £2m - £20m.

Duties of a Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Your day to day will include:

• Regular financial reporting; processing and administration of applications for payment upstream and downstream and managing relationships with the Client and the appointed professional team.

• Collaborative working with all external and internal stakeholders will be crucial, including mentoring/managing an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to contribute to the growth of the hub

• Working on a portfolio of projects predominately involving the refurbishment of buildings across the Blue Light, Health, Education, Retail and commercial sectors, with a focus on works that are safety critical and involve significant fire and general safety risk

Requirements for a Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Have Experience of delivering projects under NEC and JCT Forms of Contract
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying

Requirements of a Quantity Surveyor:

* Relevant qualification or degree.

* Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.

* Be client-driven, with strong decision making and communication skills, candidates will be able to prioritise work against tight deadlines and sometimes conflicting priorities.

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and work well within a team.

As a Pre-Construction Manager you'll be working within the Building Solutions Team, supporting them in the delivery of Pre-Construction Services .

Your day to day will include:

• Manage and coordinate the Pre-Construction activities of either traditional or design and build projects once awarded, with responsibility for managing the Pre-Construction process from tender issue through to handover to the operational team

• Work collaboratively with the members of the Pre-Construction team, inclusive of governance, commercial, estimating, planning, and design management to ensure milestones are identified, monitored, and achieved to successfully complete the Pre-Construction process.
