Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known social housing company based in the South London area who are looking for a highly skilled Major Works Surveyor to join their team.
They are looking for an experienced Surveyor who is experienced managing multiple, major works, social housing refurbishment contracts.
- To deliver and manage major capital works contracts
- To undertake contractor mobilisation, regular contract management meetings, valuations and payment certificate process, variation review / sign-off and final account.
- To write capital works' specifications to be used in the procurement of works.
- To apply technical expertise to understand complex issues in construction, engineering and maintenance in the delivery of projects.
- To carry out on site visits in respect of post inspections or to provide technical advice
- Previous experience working in the social housing/local authority sector
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Proactive approach to work
- Proven track record for being Reliable and punctual
- Must hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle
Key Knowledge:
- Social Housing, Building Contractor and local authority industry knowledge
- IT and Excel Literate
