We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Surveyor to lead and manage home investment works, cyclical maintenance, major repairs, and project delivery. The successful candidate will ensure homes meet the needs of our customers, providing a foundation for them and their families to thrive.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the delivery of home investment activities, ensuring they’re aligned with service targets, KPI’s and budgetary requirements. You’ll manage contracts related to home investment, including both planned and cyclical maintenance programmes, while overseeing major works projects from inception to completion. Additionally, you will conduct asset surveys to inform investment decisions and support procurement, contract letting, and mobilisation, ensuring value for money, innovation, and best practices are embedded throughout the process.
As part of your responsibilities, you will prepare contract documentation, including design specifications and drawings, and ensure that statutory consents are secured where necessary. As well as implement quality assurance and monitoring processes for all home investment activities, review and authorise completed works for payment, and carefully monitor expenditure to ensure it remains within budget. Engaging with customers and leaseholders, including attending meetings when required, will be essential to ensure clear communication and positive outcomes.
Your role will also involve contributing to project design briefs, collaborating with statutory authorities as necessary, and continuously monitoring contractor performance to guarantee high-quality service and value for money. Ensuring that all works comply with safety regulations, legislation, and industry best practices will be critical.
This role is available as a 6 month fixed term contract. You will be required to travel across the Cotswolds and South Gloucestershire. A full driving licence and a basic DBS are required.
You will have:
- Hold a level 5 retrofit diploma in retrofit coordination and risk management, are working towards or hold relevant experience in managing PAS 2035 compliant retrofit projects.
- Proven experience delivering property investment activities within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong budget and contract management skills.
- Experience managing contractors and suppliers.
- A relevant degree, NEBOSH, or equivalent property/construction qualification.
- Desirable: Professional membership (CIOB, RICS).
