• Incumbent serves as trained and experienced member of a wildland fire module or hand crew or engine crew executing fire management activities in fire preparedness, fuels management and prevention, and fire suppression, monitoring, and post fire activities.

• Serves as an experienced leader within a wildland fire module or crew executing fire management activities in fire preparedness, fuels management and prevention, and fire suppression, monitoring, and post-fire.
• Applies an understanding of firefighter safety, fire behavior, topography of the area, weather, fuels, and training in fire management.
• Plans action and directs utilization of fire line resources.
• Directs assigned suppression operations and recommends and implements tactical strategies on fires.
• Manages fuels projects such as: prescribed fire, mechanical and biological treatments, inventorying fuel beds, and piling vegetation debris.
• Gathers information on weather data, topography, fuel types, and fire behavior in responding to wildland fire incidents.
• Directs the operation and use of special tools and equipment; and ensures proper equipment and supplies needed for fire assignments.
• Directs the work of a small crew of firefighters in building firelines, burnout, mopping up, and patrolling firelines.
• Performs administrative lead duties such as: timekeeping, travel, government credit card managements, maintaining records, and training firefighters.

Location: (Hybrid Role) Barnsley based with some travel in the UK to customer sites

Hours of work: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Role Responsibilities:

• Collation and compilation of design documentation, ensuring client design objectives are met.
• Development of design drawing packages from initial design through to As Fitted drawings.
• On "live" projects undertake with the operational team Onsite Reviews to ensure quality standards and adherence to design are being met.
• Review 3rd party design and cost submissions for accuracy and adherence to client specification.
• Development and production of LV AC electrical design solutions through electronic software packages.
• Produce detailed electrical design information in both written and drawing formats.
• Assist the commercial team where required to compile accurate and comprehensive cost submissions.
• Be the lead for pre-construction activities. Such activities including conducting site surveys and the detailed Compilation of schedule of requirements documentation that have a direct link to the commercial team in the production of costs.
• Outsourcing design activities where required to specialists, consultants and sub-contractors.
• Take the leading role in the compilation and development of tender submissions to our client.

The successful candidate:

• In depth knowledge and understanding of commercial & industrial electrical systems. Awareness of critical environments & systems is beneficial but not essential.
• Knowledge of HV & DNO processes & procedures beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in CDM Projects in construction and building services
• Electrical biased with formal qualifications to C&G or HNC/HND standards.
• AutoCad and drawing package software experience
• BS7671 18th Edition Wiring regulations
• C&G Design, Erection and Verification (2396)
• Numeracy skills and commercial awareness
• CSCS card holder
• The role may require UK wide travel and overnight stays, must have full UK driving licence.
