Firmware Developer required to help design FPGA firmware across the full design lifecycle from requirements to delivery. You will focus on writing firmware to be deployed on FPGAs but an appreciation of electronics will aid your decision making, particularly knowledge of DSP, Radio communication, power, analogue or digital hardware.

Skills
Firmware development experience for FPGA implementation.
RF signal processing knowledge, ADC, DAC and DSP design.
Electronic design particularly RFSoC, MPSoC, Ultrascale or other Xilinx FPGAs with Vivado, Vitis or Petalinux design suites.
Laboratory equipment familiarity such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, network analysers etc.

Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are looking for a Design Lead (Civils) to deliver a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects on our Thames Water Framework.

MMB continue to successfully deliver our AMP 7 projects and are preparing to move into AMP8 delivery with Thames Water. We are looking for a design lead with the knowledge, experience, and drive to take this key delivery area forward.

As a Design Lead, you will be accountable for the delivery of design for a programme of wastewater and clean water infrastructure projects through detailed design to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will also work closely with the client to provide ECI support in the solution development and outline design phase of their delivery process. You will be responsible for developing your team of Project Leaders and other discipline engineers. You will identify and mitigate resource constraints to enable project teams to complete the design to programme and within budget.

- Work closely with the client’s Engineers to ensure we remain a trusted partner to deliver our target project portfolio.

PCB Design Engineer required to work on SATCOM terminal hardware in senior or leadership role as part of a team designing and implementing satellite antenna terminals. All decisions require design for manufacture considerations balancing cost, control, environment and operation practicalities.

Skills
Electronic hardware design, integration, test and refinement experience.
Complex Schematic and multilayer PCB design ideally in Altium for complex RF stackup PCBs.
Power supply design, power management, switching and regulator circuit design.
BEng, Meng in ideally Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Embedded hardware ARM and Xilinx FPGA or SoC knowledge.
High speed digital understanding with high speed bus design experience of DDR, PCIe, PS-GTR or other.

Role
Technical leadership on complex hardware designs including terminal architecture.
Verify and test hardware design in electronics laboratory using oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers reworking PCBs as makes sense.
Support product certification to electrical and operational standards.
Train and develop junior Hardware Engineers.

We are looking for a Senior RF Antenna Design Engineer to help develop next generation of satellite communication antenna systems. Reporting to the Director, you will lead EM simulations, measurements, and analysis for dielectric lenses, feed antennas, and phased arrays. This role focuses on designing and optimising antennas using EM simulations and prototypes. Experience in phased arrays, transmit, RF lenses, microstrip antennas, and metamaterials is highly valuable. Knowledge of RF circuits, scripting, and RF measurement tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyse antennas (feed antennas, dielectric lenses, arrays, radomes).
Develop antennas for manufacturing and prototypes.
Analyse results using Matlab and Python to optimise models.
Lead or assist in antenna testing and measurements.
Present findings through reports and slides.

Requirements:

5 years in antenna design and analysis (lenses, phased arrays, radomes, beamforming).
Proficient in EM simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO.
Strong skills in Matlab, Python, and RF testing equipment.
Experience with Linux and leadership abilities
