We are looking for a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our award-winning design team.
As part of our marketing and communications service you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, bringing creative concepts and design solutions to life in a variety of formats across multiple channels.
You will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject and significant demonstrable experience as a graphic designer. It’s essential you have skills in branding, multi-media design, layout, typography, and composition. Additional skills in illustration, photography, film, motion graphics, social media, campaign development and experience of working with a portfolio of brands are desirable.
It is essential you are a problem solver with a flexible approach, able to work on a variety of projects at once and work to tight deadlines. Creativity, innovation, enthusiasm, and the ability to thrive under pressure are also essential.
You must have knowledge of the design process and understanding of formats across all channels. You will use expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite to craft relevant and engaging content on Apple Mac.
Being up to date with current design, marketing, digital, and social media trends is essential. Experience of peer-to-peer review as well as leading and participating in creative sessions, is desirable but not essential.
You should demonstrate experience working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, as well as creative agencies, freelancers, and external suppliers. It is essential you are an effective communicator with confident presentation skills.
You’ll be leading projects from start to finish so project management skills, including budget management will be essential.
Experience of commissioning and managing external contractors and suppliers and undertaking procurement projects to ensure best value for clients and the organisation is desirable, as is knowledge of accessible design principles and an awareness and sensitivity to the public sector/partnership environment.
