About the roleAre you working or teaching in the field of engineering, design and/or manufacturing?! Would you be interested in a rewarding role which supports the development of future engineering workforce. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who would relish the opportunity to share their knowledge, skills and industry experience to teach, support and develop our next generation of engineers.
This is a great opportunity to inspire our future engineers, teaching across a range of vocational engineering & manufacturing programmes and Apprenticeship Standards. Predominantly our Level 3 programmes such as our BTEC Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and our T Level Engineering Manufacturing Design and Development. The successful candidate would need engineering & manufacturing/design technology experience to deliver a range of topics from engineering materials and processes to engineering design, as well as project based teaching, supporting students to develop skills to create successful protypes and solutions. General workshop skills are an advantage, any experience with Computer Numerical Control & Manufacture (Lathe & Mill), 2D / 3D CAD (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks), 3D printing/additive manufacture would be of benefit, but not essential.
About the personYou may be an experienced FE trainer/tutor, or a newly qualified tutor/teacher, however we would encourage applications from those working in design, manufacturing and/or engineering industry. Experience of leading projects/programmes would also be of benefit.
You should have a minimum of HND in a relevant Engineering discipline, or/and relevant industry standard qualifications and experience. You will ideally possess a recognised teaching qualification and assessor/IQA awards, or be willing to work towards these with funding support from the College. Recent experience within a manufacturing / engineering industry would be a significant advantage.
Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.

The Department of Art and Art History at Carleton College (Northfield, MN) invites applications for a visiting faculty position in art history for 2024-2025 at the rank of assistant professor or instructor.  This position involves teaching four courses spread over two or three 10-week terms, including one-half of the introductory survey of art history, plus a mix of introductory and advanced courses, to be selected based on the successful applicant’s interests and specialization.

Candidates with any specialty in art history outside of the European tradition are encouraged to apply. Vous maitrisez les outils de la suite Adobe CC en particulier Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop et autres outils permettant la conception d'interfaces comme Figma ? Rhinoceros, Keyshot, Blender sont un plus.

Depuis 2013 le groupe Thales a déployé un réseau mondial de Design Centers : Paris, Bordeaux, Glasgow, Reading, Singapour, Brest, Québec et São Paulo. La mission des Design Centers est d’accompagner la dynamique d’innovation du Groupe. Ils offrent des espaces créatifs dédiés, des méthodes de management de l’innovation, des outils et des équipes d’experts pluridisciplinaires en design, ingénierie, sociologie, ergonomie et stratégie pour donner vie à de nouveaux concepts de solutions innovantes.

Vous serez intégré à l’équipe du Design Center de Bordeaux, vous aurez pour mission de mettre en place de nouvelles méthodes d'innovation de "Prospective Design". L'objectif est d'enrichir le portfolio de services du Design Center pour aider les équipes à définir une stratégie de développement produit qui soit adaptée aux différents futurs possible.

En nous rejoignant, vos principales missions seront les suivantes :

• Développer une nouvelle méthodologie adaptée aux besoins et enjeux du Design Center et de ses clients.
   

• Etudier les différents outils permettant de structurer une démarche de "Prospective Design" et la maintenir dans le temps (capture des événements & signaux faibles, archivage des données collectées, recherche et extraction des données pertinentes sur un type de projet innovant...).
  Le processus développé servira de base pour animer les Workshops avec les clients et End Users et sera composé d’un enchaînement de méthodes d'animations, données d'entrée/de sortie et templates qui seront utilisés par le coach pour mener à bien ses Workshops.
   

• Intervenir sur des projets d’innovation utilisant la démarche Design Thinking, et plus particulièrement des ateliers prospectifs, encadré par un Coach en Innovation de l’équipe du Design Center.

Tous nos stages sont conventionnés et soumis à une gratification dont le montant est déterminé selon votre niveau d’études.
