• You will provide timely, professional architectural products, services, and consultation for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands.
• You will lead multidisciplinary in-house design teams in providing architectural design work products and services within milestones and quality standards.
• You will coordinate architectural design with engineering disciplines for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects.
• You will execute design and analyses, utilizing advanced architectural software.
• You will exhibit proficiency in the Whole Building Design Guide (WBGD), current version of AutoCAD, architectural design/analysis software, and Specs Intact, utilized for the completion of the design drawings and specifications.
• You will provide post construction award services to include review and approval of contractor submittals.

• Responsible as the supervisor for ensuring that the work assignments of two (2) other Interior Designers, of EMS, are carried out by performing a range of duties. Overall, the incumbent is responsible for two (2) full-time Interior Designers, two (2) Painters, and two (2) Maintenance Workers.
• Distribute and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization, assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload, and assure that each employee has enough work to keep busy.
• Keep in touch with the status and progress of work, make day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, and obtain assistance from the Chief, EMS, on problems that may arise, such as backlogs which cannot be disposed of promptly.
• Keeps Chief of EMS, informed on expected time of work completion.
• Maintains records of work accomplishments and time expended and prepare production reports as requested.
• Instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques and make available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies.
• Give on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of interior design standards, procedures, policies, directives and answer questions of interior designers.
• Establish and maintain a HVAMC Interior Design standard finish library for various types of offices and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor work in progress and review completed work to see that instruction on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines have been met.
• Amend or reject work not meeting established standards, referring questions or matters not covered by standards and problems in meeting performance standards to the Chief, EMS.
• Resolve complaints of employees at an informal level, as needed.
• Identifies training needs of employees and resources to receive training.
• Establish performance standards and complete performance Appraisals.
• Perform regular interior design duties as set by the Chief' EMS.
• Inspects, replaces, re-configures furniture as required by conducting continuous inspections of all areas and meeting with stakeholders in the facility and CBOCs.
• Incumbent establishes, coordinates and maintains a station annual paint schedule to ensure all patient care areas are maintained and reports status of paint schedule to Chief EMS.
• In addition, the incumbent works with site managers, department chiefs, project engineers, and contractors in planning, designing and developing space including space programming, technical specifications and budgets.
• Consults with site managers, department chiefs and project engineers on Major, Minor, NRM and station level construction programs.
• Ensures the safety and welfare of patients, staff and visitors.
• May participate in the Environment of Care Inspection Program documenting compliance with The Joint Commission, Fire & Safety and National Design Standards as requested.

• You will write technical or business briefings and summaries on topics and initiatives for dissemination to management and other organizations.
• You will review construction project parameters (e.g., integration, scope, time, cost, quality, communication, procurement, risk management) to recommend changes that will improve the overall project results.
• You will prepare cost estimates and design scopes to ensure that architectural-engineering objectives are met in the most efficient and economical manner.
• You will monitor financial obligations (e.g., cost planning, program budgeting, financial related management) to ensure fund expenditures adhere to budgetary policies.
• You will review design and construction projects to develop recommendations for more efficient or cost-effective means.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Developing and reviewing architectural and engineering landscape designs.
• Writing documents for stakeholders and management including, Statement of Work, landscape design specifications, and landscape technical reports.
• Manage construction contracts external and internal.
• Acts as a member in an interdisciplinary design team.
• Acts as the Inspection of construction in accepting work from contractors who hold construction contracts with the park.

As a Photographer (Forensic), you will perform the following duties:

• Serves as a recognized technical specialist and authoritative consultant in photographic matters (laboratory and field operations) and in the establishment, development and application of special photographic investigative technologies where no precedents exist;
• The incumbent produces all types of visual communications products using traditional visual artist tools and/or computer graphics and/or layout and spreadsheet software desktop systems to convey intended information for both electronic and printed media;
• Assignments include application of advanced photographic and visual art technology to investigations in terrorism and security matters, crime scene response, designing alerts and reports, and specialized forensic matters; AND
• Plans and directs a variety of intricate and specialized operations dealing with forensic and crime scene photography and visual arts. Requires the selection of cameras and lenses to be used, keeping in mind such factors as atmospheric conditions, available light sources and other factors which contribute to successful photography.
