Location: Hybrid (Hemel Hempstead-based with a 50% office / 50% remote working split)

We are looking for a Network Manager to join us at Haven, one of the UK’s best loved holiday brands.
The Network Manager will play a crucial role for us in establishing secure, reliable and fast connectivity across all of our 38 parks and head offices and will be responsible for building a new team, taking on operational support, and designing and driving the network roadmap and strategy for the future.
The ideal candidate will have strong network architecture and support skills, along with leadership which will be pivotal in building and managing the team, ensuring smooth operation, and resolving network issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management: Oversee and guide the new Haven Network Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Project Collaboration: Work with project teams to manage, optimize, and implement cutting-edge technology solutions.
Network Strategy: Drive the network strategy for the company, ensuring that the network meets the current needs and is scalable for future requirements.
Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts for network hardware, software, and telecommunications services, ensuring cost-effective procurement and maintenance of network resources.
Operational Support: Provide technical expertise in support of the network, full-time managed services, and network operations functions troubleshooting.
Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems to protect data and systems from external and internal threats.
Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance, analysing traffic patterns and bandwidth usage, to identify and resolve bottlenecks or other issues that may impact network efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience of internet-based WAN technologies (e.g. SD WAN)
Appropriate Industry certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCIE, ITIL, PMP) beneficial
Experience of effective communication and influence with key stakeholders relative to provision of network infrastructure and services, and evolution of network strategy (e.g. Security, Purchasing, partners, IT teams)
Able to demonstrate success in managing internal teams and 3rd parties to achieve required levels of performance, security and cost from network services whilst building strategic partnerships.
Proven experience in operations management, business process development, and/or team management.
