The Need
For 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking a Sr. Lead, Creative, North America to serve as a strategic business partner on the Creative & Digital Services team for IJM’s brand experiences with the goal to create an outpouring of support that makes justice unstoppable. Laddering up to the regional strategy, and consistent with IJM’s Global Brand, this leader is responsible for leading the engagement of creative content used by all North America teams for a $100M+ organization.
This position is based in the Washington, DC area and is available to be hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays). Remote employment may be considered on a case by case basis. This position reports to the Director, Creative & Digital Services and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Responsibilities:
Networking & Partnership
As the most senior creative in North America act as a mentor to inspire and develop strategically grounded, insight-driven creative that communicates our mission, personality, and value proposition to audiences.
Champion bold ideas and inventive approaches to solving areas of opportunity, presenting and fostering collaboration with stakeholders.
Identify and oversee creative partners to collaborate with (Designers, Artists, Writers, Photographers, Directors, etc.) and work with our internal teams (Design, Copy, Brand, Video, Photo) to ideate as necessary.
Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation
Partner with North America teams to develop and deliver highly effective creative concepts and assets while maintaining brand standards.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to support creative strategy and brand creative direction for a variety of experiences – including but not limited to campaign, digital, content, experiential.
Ensures that the brand voice and expression are reflected in assets that drive constituent excitement in a compelling and locally relevant way.
Leverage cultural and consumer insights to ensure all portfolio of work is strategically executed.
Policies and Procedures
Drive for brand consistency, ensure that organization-wide materials support and strengthen IJM’s brand and personality.
Provide strong creative direction and quality control over concepts and projects within portfolio of work.
Maintain brand consistency and voice across portfolio of work, while developing and maintaining a strong visual identity.
Develop best practices and procedures for creative execution of campaigns, content and experiences.
Events and Logistics
Participate as a business partner to challenge conventional thinking resulting in elevated live experiences (events, conferences, etc.) of IJM’s brand story that meet/exceed goals.
Act as a leader to internal and external team to create an inspiring brand experience through presentation, environment and storytelling.
Be an externally facing advocate of IJM’s mission, representing IJM on stages, industry events, partner engagements, award shows etc.

Required Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Minimum 5 years leading creative service teams to excellence.
Minimum 10 years in the field of design, communication, event production, contention production or branding.

*What is a statement of faith?
