Ensuring architecture standards and governance processes are followed
Building close relationships with key stakeholders, team members and, if appropriate customers, to obtain feedback and understand priorities
Demonstrating a good level of architectural understanding of modern security practices and standards
Seeking out and providing regular feedback on performance and delivery
Researching and designing technical solutions that meet stakeholder needs, delivering tangible benefit to the business

Design and Development Engineer

Our client in Whitstable has an exciting opportunity has arisen as a Design and Development Engineer. The role will include designing, verifying, preparing and maintaining detailed technical design drawings, schematics or specifications using CAD software and Microsoft software packages ready for manufacture.

Other duties will include:

• Preparing Manufacturing Instructions as required for new products.
• Resolving manufacturing issues within Production
• Readiness reviews at the early stages of product design and development
• Interfacing with both internal and external customers during the design process.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering with a good understanding of electrical principles
• Experience in Military industry; or Oil and Gas, Aerospace, Subsea or Medical industries
• Solid Design Engineering background
• Mechanical Engineer with a basic understanding of data rates and electronics
• Experience working within a team

Hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 08:00am - 16:30pm
• Friday: 08:00am - 13:00pm

We are a looking for a Structural Design Engineer with a minimum background of 6 years experience in building structures design, for a permanent position working on residential and commercial projects in the UK.

As a Structural Design Engineer you will be working on a range of residential, commercial and educational projects and should be able to demonstrate experience in completing structural surveys, inspections and design work on projects in these sectors.

To be suitable for the Structural Design Engineer post you must have a minimum of 6 years previous experience working to British Standards and Eurocodes following a Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a UK based university.

Proficiency in these design standards and an educational background here in the UK are requested in order to comply with UK legislation on the required projects, and you must have excellent written technical English with demonstrable experience in producing accurate reports.

Structural Analysis skills in all common design materials is essential, including steel, concrete, timber and masonry. You will also need proficiency in relevant design engineering software which could include Tekla, TEDDS and Revit in addition to AutoCAD.

Should you get to interview stage for this role there will be a test involving hand calculations, so you will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to perform standard calculations to demonstrate a skill in this area.

In order to be able to attend client meetings and site visits, it is desirable that you have a driving licence and your own vehicle for the role.
