As a Marine Design Engineer, you will own engineering responsibilities for all Cavotec’s shipboard shore power retrofit projects. Type of retrofit can be either turnkey, repair and upgrading. Project execution takes place either during voyage or at shipyards, or at times, both.

Shore power/ HVSC/ Alternative Maritime Power (AMP)/ Cold-ironing system enables vessels to connect to shore power while at berth, hence minimizing emissions and noises from the ship’s auxiliary engines. The retrofitted system will be integrated with ship’s existing electrical distribution and necessary instrumentation and monitoring systems.

You will ensure the system design is in accordance with contract specifications, Class rules, and all applicable ship-type and port-specific regulations. You will also participate in the selection of equipment suppliers and service providers for all necessary 3rd party activities. Project-based Architectural Design Consultancy Services:

• Conceptualize concept and schematic designs.
