Job Responsibilities:
· Assume responsibility for technical assignments involving basic or applied research or the design and development of Electrical hardware products. Includes design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of electromechanical devices, components or systems.
· Devise initial concept of assigned device, component or system and participate in the overall detailed Electrical perspective of product design.
· Creates original hardware, circuits, components, software, processes, and models to prove the feasibility of the design approach being investigated. Inclusive of Electronics and PCBA
· Participate in design review by providing inputs relating to DFM and DFA, etc.
· Prepare and release Engineering drawings/schematics while communicating to local vendors to expedite delivery of design parts and assemblies.
· ECO release of engineering documentation.
· Design of AC/DC power distribution systems including selection of circuit breakers, power supplies, contactors and cabling harnesses. Knowledge of PCBA Design, component selection and trouble shooting.
· Develop, test and document designs
· Develops estimates for products and projects. Power consumption, weight, size and schedule.
· Coordinates with manufacturing during pilot run and first production runs to ensure efficient transition from engineering into production.
· Interface effectively with customer to understand technical requirements and propose quality solutions.
· Possesses good electrical troubleshooting skills, and is able to troubleshoot at customer sites.
· Interfaces effectively with other organization such as Purchasing, Marketing, Service, and Quality Assurance as needed to carry out responsibilities
· Assists engineering management in developing schedules and specifications for new and legacy products.
· Maintains a high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness.
· Directs engineering and technical support personnel as required.
· Maintains a high level of technical competence and state-of-the-art awareness.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree plus 6 years’ Experience or Masters Degree with 3 years’ Experience in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
· Working knowledge of electrical systems including motion, temperature measurement, PID loops, and safety interlock circuits.
· Experience working on dynamic electromechanical system design
· Proficient user of orcad, autocad, pcad, Solidworks or similar 3D CAD Software
· Design knowledge on NFPA, Semi Safety Requirements, and Machine safety.
· Good command of written and verbal English
· Possess good communication skills.
