• Translate organizational goals into work assignments for IT team and personnel.
• Coordinate regional short and long-range planning and utilization of IT customer support functions, resources, coordination of systems and applications procedures and integration.
• Manage technical and non-technical aspects of the region service center relations and activities to customer support operations, network, LAN/WAN connection and applications in geographically dispersed locations, workstation service support, Help Desk field support, oversight of field operations, and on-site management.

• Maintain the operational management of the service center environment to include configuration and problem resolution, software distribution, call logging and tracking, workstation configurations, asset management, software discovery, and configuration management.

• Serves as a registered apprentice in a developmental capacity as a wildland firefighter trainee serving on one or more of the following module types: engine, hand crew (suppression, fuels or wildland fire module), or helitack.
• Performs all aspects of wildland and prescribed fire operations such as, line construction, ignition device (e.g. fuses, drip torches, flares, and terra torch) use, patrolling fie line and the use of water and hand tools to perform mop-up.
• Will fight wildland fires in extreme heat conditions and austere environments for an extended period of time, which will include sleeping in an outdoor environment (fire camp or near fireline).
• Starts pump engine, primes pump, adjusts engine speed and pump valves, lays hose, and uses appropriate nozzles and nozzle adjustment in effective use of water and additives.
• Services and makes minor repairs to engine; inspects, checks and services accessories such as pump, water lines, tank, reels, or pump power plant; and keeps in fire readiness.
• Inspects, cleans, and stows hose. Makes emergency repairs and adjustments of pump while in use. Performs line construction and mop-up activities.
• Will complete all necessary training requirements and maintain physical fitness requirements to advance within, and graduate from the apprenticeship program.
• The apprenticeship training assignments include: fire suppression and leadership courses, as well as attending the basic or advanced Wildland Firefighter Apprenticeship Program.

The major duties of the Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Landscape Architect position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists the Project Manager (PM) in initiating, establishing, guiding, and controlling one or more design/construction projects from inception through completion.
• Guides project formulation, and development through to completion of projects that are within quality, budget, and schedule commitments.
• Responsible for writing scopes of work; developing Government estimates; assisting in the negotiation of task orders and construction contracts; coordinating contracted efforts; providing quality assurance of contracted products; and closing out compliance, pre-design, design, and construction management efforts provided by numerous external contractors performing professional services on major, simple to highly complex, multi-phased projects.
• Works expeditiously with team members to resolve all outstanding issues due to deficient work. Incumbent serves as the primary or alternate Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on assigned projects.

• Incumbent serves as trained and experienced member of a wildland fire module or hand crew or engine crew executing fire management activities in fire preparedness, fuels management and prevention, and fire suppression, monitoring, and post fire activities.
• Specific specialty areas of work within fire modules or crews include fire engine operation, fire management planning, fuels management, and prevention.
• Work may also include all hazard and emergency response activities.
• Work activities include gathering and considering information on weather data, topography, fuel types, and fire behavior in responding to wildland fire incidents.
• Implements tactical directions on attacking, controlling, or mopping up fires, building or patrolling firelines, cleaning up burned areas within firelines, suppressing spot fires, felling snags or trees, and cutting brush.
• May drive and operate a wildland fire engine, positioning the engine for proper use and operation.
• Conducts tree felling and chainsaw.
• Maintains and/or coordinates and ensures maintenance of equipment and various hand tools such as shovels, Pulaskis, and McLeods, water hose, and backpack pumps.
• May be required to operate light vehicles and 4X4's.

• Serve as an experienced leader exercising supervision and leadership for and executing fire management activities in fire preparedness, fuels management and prevention, and fire suppression, monitoring, and post-fire.
• Provides oversight during initial and extended attack fires, directs fireline activities and tactics of dispersed firefighters, resources, equipment and aircraft.
• Provides follow-up actions to safely and effectively manage wildland fires.
• Makes efficient and effective use of multiple types of interagency wildland fire suppression resources with varying capabilities.
• Monitors weather and fire behavior and communicates changes to strategy and tactics.
• Selects strategies and tactics to ensure safe operations for assigned resources.
• Recognizes potential hazardous situations and provides operational briefings.
• Ensures preparedness of wildland fire suppression equipment and staff.
• Manages inventory and accountable property; positions equipment and personnel for the most efficient response.
• Evaluates equipment and staffing needs; and develops and prioritizes equipment and personnel funding requests.

• Serves as a trained member of a wildland fire module or hand crew or engine crew executing fuels management, fire suppression, monitoring, and post-fire activities.
• Specific specialty areas of work within fire modules or crews include fire engine operation, fire management planning, fuels management, and prevention.
• Work may also include all hazard and emergency response activities.
• May be assigned to carry out specialized assignments such as tree falling, backfire and burnout operations; utilizes a variety of specialized tools, equipment and techniques while actively managing wildfires.
• May be required to operate light vehicles and 4X4s.

• Consolidates supporting documentation and implements unit level fire prevention education programs.
• Evaluates various wildland fire prevention and mitigation program packages and presentations.
• Facilitates wildland fire prevention and mitigation programs and activities.
• Implements comprehensive local level fire prevention education programs.
• Provides advisory opinions on annual program budget in compliance with program policy.
• Frequently monitors wildfire prevention and mitigation activities to evaluate effectiveness of the wildfire prevention plan. Reports annual accomplishments.
• Collaborates with fire management staff across all program areas in developing a coordinated approach to wildfire hazard and risk reduction in the wildland urban interface.
• Develops, coordinates, and disseminates internal and external information pertaining to wildfire prevention and mitigation activities at the unit/tribal level.
